“Peace begins where worry ends.”
Desiree Boman is a graduate counseling intern who helps clients create strategies that genuinely fit their real lives—not just therapy goals on paper.
She brings warmth, curiosity, and intentionality into the counseling space, supporting clients as they navigate emotional challenges and life transitions. Outside of counseling, Desiree finds joy in simple, grounding moments—spending time at the gym, church, with family, or cuddling her dogs—activities that help her stay energized and present in her work with clients.
Desiree is a graduate-level counseling intern currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling and working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
She currently provides individual and family counseling in a private practice setting under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor. Her training allows her to approach therapy with care, structure, and a strong commitment to ethical and client-centered practice.
Desiree uses a collaborative, client-centered approach grounded in evidence-based practices, including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Mindfulness-based strategies
She works from a relational perspective, tailoring each session to the client’s goals, strengths, and lived experiences. Desiree focuses on creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore challenges, build skills, and move toward meaningful and sustainable change.
Desiree is especially well-suited for:
Teens and young adults
Clients navigating anxiety and depression
Emotional regulation challenges
Life transitions and everyday stressors
She works well with clients who are seeking both emotional support and practical tools to help them move forward with clarity and confidence.
If you’re looking for a therapist who offers a thoughtful, collaborative approach tailored to your life, Desiree may be a great fit for you.
