"Meaningful change begins with a supportive relationship. You deserve a safe space to feel heard, respected, and empowered."
Clay is a graduate student intern pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the same institution.
Clay is deeply passionate about working with teens and young adults. He firmly believes that meaningful personal growth and change begin with a supportive, trusting, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Clay strives to create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions openly and without judgment.
Clay’s counseling approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to the unique goals of each client. By integrating evidence-based methodologies, he helps individuals build deeper self-awareness and develop the practical skills needed to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
In his practice, Clay integrates techniques such as:
Person-Centered Therapy: Placing your unique voice, values, and experiences at the heart of the therapeutic journey.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helping you identify, understand, and reshape negative thought patterns and behaviors.
Mindfulness Practices: Incorporating grounding techniques to help manage stress, build self-awareness, and stay present.
Clay may be a strong fit for clients who are navigating:
Teens & Young Adults: Supporting younger individuals through the unique social, emotional, and academic transitions of youth.
Life Transitions & Adjustment: Helping you find grounding and clarity during periods of major change and uncertainty.
Anxiety & Stress Management: Developing healthy coping skills to manage daily stressors and overwhelming emotions.
Personal Growth & Self-Awareness: Empowering individuals who want to build resilience and create meaningful, positive change in their lives.
