“Walking alongside others toward healing and hope.”
Hi, I’m Alexus! I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as you are without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out.
I’m passionate about helping individuals understand how their experiences have shaped them while recognizing that those experiences do not have to define their future. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, family or relationship challenges, or simply trying to rediscover yourself, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.
I believe healing can begin when we give ourselves permission to choose ourselves, establish healthier patterns, and make room for the life we truly want.
I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate.
I have over 2 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral, environmental and relational concerns. I have also worked with individuals impacted by substance use and have experience facilitating substance-use groups and supporting individuals involved in drug-court programs.
In addition to my counseling experience, my professional background in social services has given me extensive experience working with individuals and families navigating crisis, trauma, abuse and neglect, family conflict, major life transitions, and complex social circumstances.
My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I don’t believe therapy should look the same for every person. I want to understand you and build our work around what you need based on:
I work to find interventions to help clients identify patterns, understand their emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen boundaries, and create meaningful change.
I am a great fit for adolescents and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and begin making meaningful changes in their lives. I especially enjoy working with individuals who have spent a significant amount of their lives taking care of everyone else, surviving difficult experiences, or putting their own emotional needs aside and are now asking:
“What would it look like to choose me?”
If you’re interested in working with Priscila or would like help deciding if this is the right fit, a consultation is a supportive place to begin.
